History

1996-97

We started our new band in july'96. I continued to be the lead vocalist, Kotte stayed with the percussions, Tobbe bought a synthesizer and a sampler and Roger bought a synthesizer too. Now I started to write the music and the lyrics.(Kotte and Roger has made a couple of lyrics too) We played a few times in 96 and now in 97 we are appearing on a collection album from Powerspot in April-May, called Monument3-spot5. We will also appear on a collecting album from Strangers thoughts called "The next generation". This album will be released in June-July. Our Musical influences are Depêché Mode and S.p.o.c.k. On November 12th our band member "Kotte" performed his last gig with Admission.(No hard feelings!!) He will probably start up a new band (Irish music). We all wish him the very best... We will continue as a trio.

1998

Well, a new year with a promising start! We have been in the studio for the 2nd time, and the new material sounds great. We are participating on a new record from Sauna, which will be released just in time for SEMA (or not). We are still a band of three members. Three more songs are almost finished and one of them is a real turnover, believe me. But don't worry, it's a one time shot. We will play live in Jändelfestivalen as usuall and in Romnneby kårhus in April 30th. Roger has bought himself a new synthesizer and is a very happy man. Tobbe continues to look for the right woman to comit with. I don't know what is new about me, probably nothing. In the end of 98 I (Daniel) went to Australia to find my lost brother......(not really) No, I went there to do some studying..But now I´m back again!

1999

Today, we are only 2 members left, Tobbe and I. This will mean that we will fit into any place where a single synthesizer will fit and a couple of microphones... So here we go.

ADMISSION "ESCAPE"(6) Från Kalmar kommer fyra grabbar som gör synthpop med stark betoning på synth. Maskinerna bubblar av ljud och trummaskinen sprutar ut salvor av taktfast smatter. Sångarens allvarliga stämma får vokal hjälp av frekventa samplingar från bland annat Star trek. Admission är dock inte något nytt rymdpopband utan nöjer sig i första hand med den vanliga ångersten, olyckliga kärleken, drogproblemen och annat elände på debutdemon "Escape". Låtarna har catchiga refränger men då texterna är så hopplösa når låtarna inte riktigt ända fram. Eftersom Admission har hållit på sedan 1996 borde de ha blivit några erfarenheter rikare vid det här laget. De har medverkat på powerspotsamlingen "Monument 3" med låten "Escape" som är demons bästa alster. Om kvintetten tar sig i kragen och övar lite till så kanske de kan bli något att räkna med i framtiden.

Admission "Escape" (Demotape) 3 "Ytterligare ett synthpops band på den svenska synthhimlen. Admission kommer från Kalmar, detta betyder inte att man måste plagiera Erasure, för det gör inte Admission, musiken i sig låter som en blandning av And One och Erasure, med en himla massa filmsamplingar. Musiken är framförd på bra och proffsigt sätt men det är något som gör att det känns som om jag har hört det förut. Nu har i och för sig AdMission bara spelat ihop i cirka ett års tid och har framtiden framför sig, det har väl i och för sig alla men med ett så proffsigt demo såhär tidigt har Admission chans att gå längre än några demo kassetter".
